The 3-Day "Untouched Frontier" Itinerary

To join this ride, your journey starts the day before. Whether you take the 12:00 PM Limo or the 21:00 PM Cabin Plus from Hanoi, we’ve got your bed ready at our Cao Bang basecamp so you can start Day 1 with a clear head and a full heart.

Day 1: Cao Bang to Bao Lac - The High Border Road

The Morning: We kick things off at 08:00 AM with a welcome chat and a proper mountain breakfast.
The View: Our first stop is Vu Nong, a coffee viewpoint that overlooks the vast, rolling valleys below. This is where you first realize that Cao Bang Loop from Hanoi is a completely different world.

The Bamboo Forest: We trek through the dense Truc Lung Pan Bamboo Forest, a towering green cathedral harvested by local villages.

The Night: We arrive in Bao Lac just in time for a sunset over the China border. The night belongs to the bonfire and the first 1 2 3 DÔ! toasts of the trip.

Day 2: Bao Lac to Ban Gioc – The 14-Storey Pass & The Angel Eye

The Challenge: We hit the legendary Khau Coc Cha Pass. We take a short hike to the viewpoint to see all 14 switchbacks snaking up the mountain like a staircase for giants.

The Miracle: After navigating the Na Tenh Pass, we reach Angel Eye Mountain. This is the heart of the "untouched" North - a valley with a mountain featuring a massive, natural hole through its center. It’s the perfect place to turn off the engines and just breathe.

The Valley: We ride through the stunning Phong Nam Valley, following the streams and flatlands toward the border.
The Night: We check in near the falls, fueling up on a local feast for the big finale tomorrow.

Day 3: Ban Gioc to Cao Bang City - The Giant’s Spray & Rolling Hills

The Power: We start at Ban Gioc Waterfall, the largest border waterfall in Southeast Asia. We get you on the bamboo rafts at the foot of the falls so you can feel the spray of the Quay Son River while looking across at China.

The Underground: We trek through Nguom Ngao Cave, a silver-tinted world of limestone "lotus flowers" that makes any Ha Giang Loop cave look small in comparison.

The Grass Hills: We end the ride at the Vinh Quy Grass Hills, where the mountains look like green waves stretching to the horizon.

The Farewell: We arrive back in Cao Bang City by 14:30 PM, just in time for your organized transport back to the city.
