Heads Up: Today is strictly for transit, getting settled, and mapping out the plan. The motorbikes stay parked. The high-altitude highway adventure officially kicks off tomorrow morning.

Today's Highlights:

• Transit: We’ll arrange your pickup from designated locations in the city you are coming from (Hanoi, Ha Long, Sapa, Ninh Binh, Cat Ba, Noi Bai Airport, or Cao Bang) straight to Ha Giang City.

• Basecamp Check-in: Settle into Loop Eco Stone House. Your first night in a premium shared dorm is completely on us (upgrading to a private room is optional and subject to availability for an additional fee).

• Poolside Pre-Game: Sip on a cold drink at the pool bar as the valley mist rolls in and the tunes start playing.

• Meet the Crew: Connect with your fellow road partners before the tour kicks off.

Today we leave the lower valleys behind to scale the colossal geological formations of the far northern frontier.

Morning:

• Pre-Ride Setup: Check out, complete our comprehensive multi-point safety and gear inspection. Join our friendly rider for a quick Q&A session to go over the map and guidelines before launching from the basecamp.

• Roller-Coaster Passes: Master the sweeping, hairpin curves of Bac Sum Pass before pulling over at Heaven’s Gate to overlook the spectacular, mist-veiled Fairy Bosom Hills.

• Canyon Trails: Carve along the towering canyon walls flanking the turquoise Mien River down to Lung Tam, observing H'Mong artisans using centuries-old techniques to transform raw hemp into intricate art.

• Highland Lunch: Break for a rich, traditional lunch in the bustling mountain outpost of Yen Minh.

Afternoon:

• The Famous Switchbacks: Conquer the loop's two most iconic, photogenic mountain stacked curves of Tham Ma and Chin Khoanh passes.

• H'Mong Palace Sanctuary: Walk through the massive stone walls and ancient pine courtyards of the H'Mong King’s Palace, capturing a rare architectural fusion of local tribal, Chinese, and French colonial design.

• Dong Van Settle-In: Roll into our homestay and check in. Unwind with a poolside sunset session. Jump in for a starlit swim, challenge the team to a volleyball match, and enjoy a high-vibe social atmosphere with a solid soundtrack.

Evening:

• Shared Banquet: Gather with your road partners around a massive, family-style northern table

• Night Session: Share stories around the open fireplace, participate in a traditional bamboo-stick dance, taste some regional "happy water," and top off the night with an epic karaoke session hidden deep within our private stone cave!

Overnight: Loop Eco Stone House Dong Van

We conquer Southeast Asia’s most iconic mountain highway before loading our vehicles onto longtail river boats to cross into Cao Bang province.

Morning:

• Fog-Breaker Breakfast: Fuel up early to stay well ahead of the heavy morning valley fog and the slow tourist buses blocking the pass.

• Ta Lung Karst Caverns: Step off the beaten path to explore the raw, ancient rock chambers and hidden limestone tunnels of the high plateau.

• Ma Pi Leng & Tu San Viewpoint: Ride Vietnam’s ultimate cliffside highway. Secure the bikes to take on the dramatic Skywalk foot trail for jaw-dropping views, then grab a coffee hanging directly over the impossibly deep Tu San Canyon and the emerald Nho Que River snaking below.

• Refuel in Meo Vac: Ride down the passes for a hearty local lunch in town to recap the morning's epic vistas.

Afternoon:

• Bikes on Boats Adventure: Descend to the banks of the Nho Que 3 river system for a massive highlight—loading our motorbikes directly onto local longtail boats. Sit back as we cruise right through the sheer canyon walls from the water level.

• Nhiem Tong River Coffee: Stop at a secluded riverside hideaway. Sip on an iced drink or a classic slow-drip Vietnamese coffee while watching the river bend through the valley below.

• The Bao Lac Ride: Enjoy a smooth, flowing afternoon ride as the jagged gray karst fields slowly transition into the soft, lush green terraces of Cao Bang.

• Valley Check-in: Roll into the quiet mountain town of Bao Lac, checking into our cozy homestay partner to watch the sun set over the surrounding rice paddies.

Note: Boat cruise operation depends on river water levels, weather safety, and a minimum group size of 6 guests. If conditions shift or group size is smaller, we pivot seamlessly to our scenic overland valley border route.

Evening:

• Local dinner: Sit down for a communal dinner with your hosts and fellow riders, swapping road stories before winding down for a deep, peaceful night's sleep

Today features one of the most mechanically mind-blowing mountain roads on earth and culminates at the grandest transnational waterfall in Asia.

Morning:

• Crisp Valley Launch: Fuel up on a hot homestay breakfast, pack your gear, and run a fast morning bike check to catch the cool, refreshing mountain air.
• Khau Coc Cha Pass: Test your cornering precision on the legendary 14-switchback pass, a vertical wall of tight, stacked hairpins. Drop the bikes and take on a rugged jungle trek up to the cliff’s edge to look straight down at the entire road snaking impossibly below—an iconic frontier photo.
• Ha Quang Lunch: Wind down from the peaks into the historic Ha Quang district for a heavy, revitalizing mid-tour meal.

• The Borderland Ride: Throttle deep into the frontier plains toward the majestic Ban Gioc Waterfall. We time our arrival perfectly for the late afternoon, when the cascading water catches the warm, golden light.
• The Bamboo Raft Plunge: Board a traditional bamboo raft to glide right up to the misty, thundering foot of the multi-tiered falls, feeling the roaring spray blast off the massive drops.
• Farmstay Check-in: Cruise along the peaceful Quay Son River to check in at. Drop your bags and decompress right on the water's edge as the evening mist rolls over the banks.

Evening:

• Riverside Dinner: Enjoy a peaceful, high-vibe group dinner overlooking the quiet river, feasting on fresh, organic farm-to-table frontier dishes under the stars.

Our final day explores endless rolling green highlands and a surreal, fairytale valley before wrapping up at our central hub.

Morning:

• Breakfast by the Water: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast to the soothing sounds of the flowing river before strapping on your helmet for the final push.

• Vinh Quy Grass Hills: Scale the rolling, emerald-green ridges of the Ba Quang highlands. Often called the "mini Switzerland" of Northeast Vietnam, these vast, boundless meadows offer jaw-dropping panoramic views stretching straight to the horizon.

• Countryside Lunch: Pull over at a favorite local eatery along the backroads to share one final, authentic family-style meal.

Afternoon:

• Angel Eye Mountain: Journey into a hidden, enclosed valley to witness a geological wonder—a massive, perfectly circular hole pierced clean through the center of a towering limestone peak.

• Pasture Exploration: Hike across the vibrant green meadows, navigate the seasonal wetlands, and climb to the top viewpoints to soak in this surreal, fairytale landscape.

• Basecamp Return & Farewell: Cruise out of the valley and roll straight into Loop Hostel Cao Bang to return your riding gear and collect your bags. The expedition officially wraps up mid-afternoon.
