Itinerary
Day 01: CAO BANG - BAO LAC (140Km)
Day 02: BAO LAC - ANGEL EYE MOUNTAIN - BAN GIOC WATERFALL (125Km)
Day 03: BAN GIOC WATERFALL - VINH QUY - CAO BANG CITY (180Km)
ENROUTE TO CAO BANG:
- Plan to arrive in Cao Bang the evening before the tour.
- Choose from several bus options from Hanoi, Ninh Binh, or Ha Giang
- Upon arrival enjoy a free hostel bed arranged by us.

DAY 01: CAO BANG
⛰08:00: Check out, welcome chat, have breakfast in Cao Bang City.
⛰08:30: Join our tour guide and meet the group. Hop on a motorbike as we begin our adventure through Cao Bang Loop:
- Vu Nong Viewpoint - Overlooking photo viewpoint and rest stop.
- Sightseeing at Dinh Phung - Walking-trail and group-photo viewpoint.
⛰12:00: Have lunch at Ban Nga before continuing the trip to:
- Truc Lung Pan Bamboo Forest - The dense and picturesque bamboo forest is harvested by the nearby village and used in many ways.
⛰14:30: Arrive and check-in at the homestay
- Trekking along the rice terraces. Tour the farm-life - Guided trek and tour of the mountain-top farm.
⛰19:00: Dinner and a bonfire with happy water (locally distilled alcohol made from rice).
⛰07:00: Start the day with breakfast and begin another adventurous day as you head to:
- Khau Coc Cha Pass - 1 km hike up the mountain to the viewpoint, overlooking the 14 switchback roads winding up the mountain, then hike back down to the bikes. (~45-60 minutes total.)
- Na Tenh Pass - Viewpoint from one end of the Valley to the other with a beautiful winding road below.
⛰12:00: Enjoy an authentic Vietnamese lunch at Ha Quang . Then continue your journey to the iconic destination, where you will explore:
- Angel Eye Mountain - Explore the valley and enjoy the ultra unique mountain with a hole through the center.
- Phong Nam Valley - Enjoy the streams and flatlands of the valley.
⛰17:30: Check in at homestay near Ban Gioc.
⛰19:00: A delicious dinner and drinks will be served inside a cavern.
⛰08:00: Rise and shine! Time to have the most important meal of the day and depart for Vinh Quy. The scenic route will take you to:
- Nguom Ngao Cave - Trek ~30 minutes through the impressive cave.
- Ban Gioc Waterfall - Take a boat trip up to the foot of the waterfall for a one-of-a-kind photo and view, afterwards explore the area on foot. (The narrow river divides China and Vietnam.)
⛰12:00: Lunch will be waiting for you at Vinh Quy. After a delicious meal, you will continue your trip to:
- Vinh Quy Grass Hill - Rolling grass hills and mountains stretch as far as the eye can see, in every direction.
- Doc Lap Waterfall/Na Tau Waterfall - Take a swim in the waterfalls plunge pool.
⛰15:30: Say goodbye to the journey in Cao Bang City and get ready to head back to Hanoi or whichever direction your journey is headed.

🚌 Bus Transportation to Starting Point: Transportation from your current location to the starting point of the tour is not included. However, we can arrange this for you at below-market rates.
🥂 Beverages: Apart from the daily drinking water bottle, other beverages such as soft drinks, alcohol, and additional bottled water are not included.
💰 Personal Expenses: Any personal purchases such as souvenirs, snacks, or additional services at accommodations are not covered.
Travel Insurance: It is highly recommended to have your own travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.
🚫 10% VAT:This is only necessary if you require a VAT receipt.
🤙 Tips/gratuities: Tips for guides, drivers, and other service providers are not included and are at your discretion.
🏨 Private room: If you prefer a private room, there is an additional charge of $10 per person per night.
